Need a place where it seems everything happens and a places that is always fun. The Frederick Fair Grounds are the place for the part.

Events are held through out the year and always bring a crowd to it. The fair grounds are located just outside the downtown area.

Some of the big events that happen at the fair grounds that happen every year is the county fair and the Fredrick half marathon that happens in the spring.  Of course there are other things like the art and craft fairs and concerts. Of course there are many other things that go on.

The fair grounds used to be a horse track, which is still present in the fair grounds and it was a dirt track. The stands are still up and the county uses them for the concerts. The seats have an overhang so no matter the weather stuff can still go on. Along with the stands there are a couple of barns and buildings that can hold a lot of people and events no matter the weather.

Most of the events happen during the summer, spring and fall. Though there are some during the winter it is mostly indoor events.

The fair grounds, while host big events, the events are special to Frederick and help bring the community closer together. I strongly suggest you take a look at there website and see if an event is happening soon and if you have time check it out. There maybe something that sparks your interest.
